How to play the financial board game

Start a solo practice game. Choose a profession and a long-term goal, then roll to meet investment opportunities, bills, market offers and family events. There are no online or computer opponents.

  1. Check cash and monthly surplus before rolling. Passing a payday square adds your monthly surplus to cash; a turn is not automatically a month.
  2. Read the price and financial preview before buying. A property uses a down payment; its mortgage remains a liability. The shown rental cash flow is net of property costs.
  3. Stocks are quoted per share. Choose a quantity to buy or sell. You can repay part of eligible personal debts while keeping cash for bills.
  4. A new game loan charges 10% of its outstanding principal each month. This is a simplified game rule, not a realistic lending quote. Interest does not repay principal.
  5. Mandatory bills cannot be skipped. Review borrowing or emergency-sale proceeds before confirming. Emergency property disposal removes the property and its attached loan, and pays only half the down payment under this game rule.
  6. Build passive income above monthly expenses to reach the growth ring. Then pursue your selected goal or add $50,000 to cash-flow-day income. An unpaid mandatory bill with no funding options can end your game in bankruptcy.

Understand what changed

The financial overview shows the latest event and choice. Open the settlement receipt for before-and-after amounts, or the journal to revisit earlier decisions. Save progress explicitly before leaving; clearing browser storage removes it.

English and Chinese navigation are available; some detailed board explanations currently remain in Chinese. The English version is still under review.

Open the legacy eight-quarter game / old saves — separate saves; no automatic conversion.
